WATERMELON



              Watermelon is one of the most delicious fruits that can be easily bought and grown in the dry zone of our country. This fruit is perfect in taste as well as quality. The continent of Africa is considered to be the homeland of the watermelon known by its botanical name is Citrullis lanatus. It is reported that it later came to Asia and Europe. Watermelon is also considered to be the most popular fruit in the United States. Ancient Egyptian paintings depict this melon fruit. there are two types of melons that are commonly grown in Sri Lanka. Dark green and light green dark hybrids. Of these, pumpkins are less sweet than melons.

                Watermelon is a fruit that is high in water. Therefore, in hot weather, eating watermelon is very good for keeping the body's internal temperature in balance and also for controlling skin dryness. In some cases, itching in the body can be relieved by eating honey. It is also important to note that eating watermelon helps people with constipation to get rid of constipation.
